Jonnycake Youth Center
When our kids thrive, so does our community.
The Jonnycake Youth Center (JYC) is a safe, welcoming space for youth to build skills, grow confidence, and discover their potential. Since opening our doors in 2025, more than 70 local teens have spent thousands of hours at the JYC, receiving mentoring, academic support, and access to opportunities many never imagined possible. Our programming evolves as students’ interests and needs change, while remaining grounded in our core principles: belonging, confidence, and growth.
Who Can Become a Member?
Middle- and high-school-aged youth whose families are members of the Jonnycake Center are eligible to join the JYC.
Youth not currently enrolled with the Jonnycake Center will be considered on a case-by-case basis through referrals from their school district or other community partners.

Homework Help & Academic Support
Reliable, encouraging guidance that helps students stay engaged, strengthen skills, and build confidence in their learning.
Field Trips & Experiential Learning
Opportunities to explore new environments, expand horizons, and create shared experiences beyond the neighborhood.
Healthy Movement
We get kids out from behind the desks and screens with activities that create lifelong healthy habits to reset, center and energize.
Makerspace
Hands-on creative projects that encourage self-expression, spark curiosity, and teach practical skills.
