Get the Support You Need

We offer caring, private, and individualized help, free of charge, to everyone who comes to us.

If you live in one of these towns, you can become a member of the Jonnycake Center:

  • South Kingstown
  • Narragansett
  • Block Island
  • Jamestown

To sign up, visit us during our food pantry hours or make an appointment.

Please bring proof that you live in one of the towns listed, a photo ID, and proof of who lives in your household (children, spouse, parent, etc.).

If you have questions before you come in, or prefer to make an appointment to sign up, fill out this short form. Someone will call you within two business days.

Jonnycake Center Member Benefits

Nourish

Our food pantry, Jonnycake Market, gives a healthy groceries to members who need help. We also offer cooking classes for all ages and teach pregnant and breastfeeding moms – and their children - how to make healthy food choices.

We own and run ten affordable homes and plan to build more. Our team helps members fill out housing applications and can help with move-in costs. To apply for our housing, start here.

Thrive

We want a community where everyone can do their best. We help families improve their financial health through free tax assistance, accessing government benefits, and financial support when money is tight. We partner with Thundermist Health Center to improve our members’ physical and emotional health.  We also help young people with school, after-school activities, and mentoring through our new youth center.
